Terms & Conditions

Thank you for your purchase and support of the WNC Harvest & Heritage Foundation dba WNC Whiskey Festival (referred to herein as Foundation and/or Festival).  As referred to herein the Festival includes WNC Whiskey Festival and any related or affiliated event, including but not limited to Week of Whiskey programming, educational sessions, tastings, seminars, off-site events, and special experiences.

 

The WNC Harvest & Heritage Foundation dba The WNC Whiskey Festival is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to promoting, preserving, and educating the public about the cultural and culinary heritage of Western North Carolina and the greater Blue Ridge region through education programs, community events, and charitable activities that serve the public interest.  Its mission is to foster understanding and appreciation of regional traditions, foods, beverages, music, and crafts as living and ever-evolving expressions of community identity, while also addressing food insecurity by advancing equitable access to local foods.

 

Terms of Ticket Purchase

ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.  Tickets will NOT be sold at the event, all tickets must be purchased prior to the event, and all sales are non-refundable.  Once a ticket is purchased it cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of the circumstances. 

 

The Festival is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced tickets. Please safeguard your ticket as you would any valuable item – lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced.

 

Ticketholders MUST be 21+ years of age and have a valid government issued photo ID to purchase Festival tickets and attend the Festival.  No one under 21 years of age is permitted into the Festival.  Whiskey sampling is included in the ticket price (except for Designated Driver tickets). 

 

The Festival is an indoor, rain-or-shine event, held at the AB Tech Campus Convention Center. However, in the event of severe weather or other extenuating circumstances, we will keep our guests notified via our Facebook pages, email and our website.  Week of Whiskey event venues may be indoors or outside.  The Festival and/or any event may be delayed, postponed, or canceled in the sole and absolute discretion of the Festival.

 

Small bags or purses are permitted at the Festival.  Large tote style bags or backpacks are not permitted.  All bags are subject to search upon entry.  Guests have the right to refuse a bag search and the Festival has the right to refuse entry without refund.  

 

Smoking is strictly prohibited on AB Tech's Campus grounds including parking facilities.  Violation of smoking policy may result in ejection without refund. 

 

The following list of items are prohibited on the event grounds at all times: 

• Outside alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs or substances

• Animals or pets (service animals as defined by ADA standards are permitted)

• Any item that could obstruct a guest’s enjoyment

• Any item that is deemed dangerous or perceived to be dangerous, unsafe, or offensive by WNC Whiskey Festival management

• Banners or signs with non-WNC Whiskey Festival sponsor logos or messages

• Bottles, cans, containers, thermoses, or flasks not purchased on-site (one empty bottle is permitted per guest for water)

• Guns, knives or other items that can be considered weapons

• Hard or Soft Coolers, Baskets, or Duffel Bags

• Laser pointers

• Mace and pepper spray

• Outside food 

• Professional Cameras and Camera Equipment, Tripods, and Video or Audio Recording Equipment not authorized by WNC Whiskey Festival management.

 

All Tickets associated with the Festival are FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.  The Festival is not liable for any personal, financial, or other losses incurred as a result of the non-refundable ticket policy.  It is the customer’s responsibility to assess their desire and ability to attend the event prior to purchasing tickets.

Event Cancellation & Termination Rights

The Foundation reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, postpone, reschedule, modify, or terminate the Festival and any related or affiliated event, including but not limited to Week of Whiskey programming, educational sessions, tastings, seminars, off-site events, and special experiences, at any time and for any reason.

Such reasons may include, but are not limited to, public safety concerns, weather conditions, venue limitations, acts of God, governmental or regulatory restrictions, insufficient ticket sales or participation, speaker or vendor cancellations, failure to obtain or maintain required permits or approvals, or any other circumstances deemed appropriate by the Foundation.

In the event of cancellation or termination by the Foundation, the Foundation’s sole obligation shall be to refund the applicable ticket purchase or deposit(less any applicable fees from third-party ticket vendors), if any, within thirty (30) days of the cancellation. No additional compensation, damages, or liability shall be owed, including but not limited to travel expenses, lodging costs, lost opportunity, or incidental or consequential damages.

By purchasing a ticket or participating in any event, the ticket holder or participant acknowledges and agrees to these terms.
